Jose Vasquez Promoted to Member Services Officer
The Public Service Pensions Board (PSPB) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jose Vasquez to the role of Member Services Officer. This promotion comes into effect February 1, 2023 as Mr. Vasquez has been acting in the role since that time.
“I am thrilled that another young Caymanian such as Jose has been promoted to this new role,” said Mrs. Jewel Evans Lindsey, CEO for the PSPB. “In his time with the Authority, Jose has shown a commitment to the PSPB vision and to his own continuous development and I look forward to him succeeding in this new role and to his future growth at PSPB.”
Jose has been with the PSPB since completing his Associate Degree in Business Administration. He started with the Authority in October 2017 as an Assistant Member Services Officer where he helped members, employees, and retirees, in various customer service functions.
In 2020, Jose completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University College of the Cayman Islands. Over the five plus years that Jose has been a part of the PSPB team, his pension knowledge and expertise has grown by undertaking key roles in projects, system, and other initiatives undertaken by the Authority.
In Jose’s new role, he will be responsible for assisting in the administration of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans within the Public Service Pension Plan, Parliamentary Pension Plan, Judicial Pension Plan and Ex-Gratia Pension Plans by updating, managing, and monitoring data within the PSPB’s pension administration system. Furthermore, Jose also takes on the role of Payroll Officer and will be responsible for the payroll transactions for PSPB’s 2000 plus pensioners.
